POSITION SUMMARY:
The Component Mold Operator provides key support to the department by assisting Process Technician with mold set-ups, material handling, QA inspections and maintaining 6S standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS
- Report safety concerns to Process Tech, Supervisor, Maintenance or Safety committee
- Properly make ready any completed work for Packing or Hot Stamping.
- Aid Process Techs in responding to mold alarms.
- Sweep floor in molding area and mop as required. Machines and aisles should always remain clear of scrap and debris.
- Add resin mixture or color concentrate to molding machines as necessary.
- Sort scrap materials by type and color and store properly to provide maximum reuse or resale value.
- Empty trash at workstations daily and dispose of promptly and properly.
- Correctly label and move completed boxes of production for hot stamping or packing.
- Spray and properly clean machines and belts using tools and methods described in Cleaning Records.
- Completion of all essential and standard paperwork including component release forms, and quality check.
- Any/ all tasks given by Team Lead or Supervisor
Requirements
- Know and adhere to established Safety Standards.
- Be able to read and follow basic instructions of mold start up, whether written or verbal.
- Be capable of seeing and determining various shades of color.
- Continuous communication with Process Techs and Supervisor
- Ability to read work instructions
- Good at multi-tasking
