We have an opportunity for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in a long-term contract role. This position will play a key role in building, maintaining, and automating cloud infrastructure and workflows within a large enterprise environment. This role requires expertise in infrastructure automation, microservices orchestration, and integrating cloud services to support scalable, event-driven architectures.
As a member of our team, you will enjoy the flexibility of working remotely. The hourly compensation for this opportunity ranges from $55-$65/hr (see benefits below).
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in a Cloud Infrastructure or similar role, preferably in a large enterprise environment.
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise, with hands-on experience deploying and managing services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, IAM, and Cloud Storage.
- Expertise with Google Workflows or other workflow automation tools.
- Proficiency with YAML-based workflow definitions (e.g., for Google Workflows, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines).
- Expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for managing cloud resources.
- Experience in microservices orchestration (GKE).
- CI/CD pipeline automation using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Google Cloud Build, or similar tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and workflow failures.
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-Have
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) certification (e.g., Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect, Google Certified Professional Cloud Developer).
