FusionSleep is an accredited, independent medical practice that is 100% dedicated to sleep medicine. Our expert team of experienced physicians are board certified in sleep medicine and focus on disease prevention and management.
The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for documenting medical history, taking patient vital signs and ensuring proper data and labs are available to support the physician. The MA is responsible for preparing the exam room and coordinating efficient patient flow with the front office staff. The FusionSleep trained-Medical Assistant provides answers to patients’ questions regarding equipment fittings and supply needs and provides best practice solutions.
The ideal candidate will be service-minded, confident, adaptable, and able to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
In addition to meeting physician and patients needs, the Medical Assistant’s administrative tasks may include:
- Retrieving compliance data from various sources
- Processing prescription refill requests
- Responding to patient emails and calls
- Accurately documenting system tasks pending and completed
Requirements
- Certified/Registered Medical Assistant required
- Sleep Medicine or Respiratory Care experience preferred
- Care Cloud Practice Management preferred
- EMR system experience required
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Strict attention to detail, organizational skills and follow-through
- Minimum of six months experience in fast-paced health care setting
- Exceptional customer service and communications skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem solving skills and a desire to acquire new skills
- Possess the ability to collaborate in a team environment or work independently
- Comfortable working with various software applications at one time
