Billing Specialist and overflow procedure scheduling

Our well-established ENT practice located in North Atlanta is seeking an experienced medical billing specialist who can help out with some procedure scheduling as well. You will be working in a team environment. Excellent opportunity for the right person!

Summary of Responsibilities

• Verify insurance benefits
• Obtain insurance authorizations
• Enter daily office charges accurately and timely to ensure prompt payment
• Process claims for private and insurance reimbursement
• Post payments (patient and insurance) in a timely manner
• Help with refunds/ patient and insurance
• Work A/R reports
• Research and resolve patient/insurance billing problems
• Process appeals of insurance denials and follow-up until appeal is resolved
• Initiate private pay collection calls after insurance denials or other issues
• Follow established billing guidelines for Medicare, other insurers
• Assist with overflow surgery scheduling as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Positive, friendly, polite personality
• Excellent computer skills
• Physician office or Hospital experience preferred
• Coding and billing experience (ICD-10 and CPT Coding)
• Greenway Health PrimeSuite software experience preferred
• 2 years billing experience (medical setting) preferred
• Multi-tasking skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Team player
