Job Summary:

The Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation systems and processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality within our manufacturing facility. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify areas for automation, designing and implementing solutions, and providing ongoing support and maintenance. The Automation Engineer will play a critical role in enhancing our manufacturing capabilities and driving continuous improvement across our operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Design and develop automated manufacturing systems, including the selection of appropriate equipment and technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that automation systems meet the needs of production, maintenance, and quality control.
  • Program, test, and debug automation systems, including PLC programming and HMI development.
  • Ensure that automation systems comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Provide training and support to production teams on the operation and maintenance of automation systems.
  • Monitor the performance of automation systems and identify opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automation systems, including diagnosing and repairing equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including system specifications, operating procedures, and maintenance records.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in automation technology and best practices.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in automation engineering or a related role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of automation systems, including PLC programming and HMI development.
  • Experience with industrial robotics and vision systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations for automation systems.
  • Ability to design and develop automated manufacturing systems from concept to implementation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or Java is a plus.
