Full Job Description
We are looking for an ambitious Junior Accountant to join our friendly and supportive accounting team located in Hawkinsville, Georgia. This entry-level role is designed for someone with a basic understanding of accounting who’s eager to grow, develop, and build a long-term career with us.
Duration of Internship: 3-6 months
We will trust you to:
- Learning Accounting Fundamentals: Participate in training sessions to understand basic accounting principles, financial terminology, and company procedures.
- Guided Data Entry: Learn to input financial information into accounting software accurately, with support and guidance from mentors.
- Assisted Account Reconciliation: Shadow and assist experienced team members in reconciling financial statements and tracking transactions.
- Observing Financial Reporting: Observe and gradually assist in preparing reports, gaining hands-on experience in financial analysis and documentation.
- Supporting Administrative Tasks: Help with general administrative duties such as organizing financial documents, filing, and preparing materials for meetings.
- Participating in Team Projects: Collaborate on team projects, contributing to discussions and gaining exposure to various accounting tasks.
Note: This role is designed for individuals who are completely new to accounting and are eager to learn. The ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to grow their skills through hands-on training and mentorship.
Requirements
- Education: Current student or recent graduate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Students from other majors who are interested in accounting are also encouraged to apply.
- Interest in Accounting: A genuine interest in learning about financial management, bookkeeping, and accounting practices.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with numbers and basic mathematical operations.
