Position - VP of Sales and Customer Success
As VP of Sales and Customer Success, you will play a critical role in growing our revenue. You will oversee both our sales team and our customer success team - driving net new accounts and also ensuring those accounts are retained by reducing churn. This is a great opportunity to own the full life cycle of the client relationship, guaranteeing a great customer experience end to end. You will have the opportunity to manage, grow, and upskill our current sales team (2 people) and customer success team (1 person).
You will uplevel the infrastructure and analytics of Hubspot so that sales, customer success, and other teams are able to easily view our current sales and client churn funnels. As a leader within the company, you will work cross-functionally to deliver and report on your OKRs while also being a critical voice in the direction of the company.
This role requires a customer-centric mindset, excellent communication skills, managerial experience, and the ability to navigate and resolve challenges to uphold our commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences. You will report to the Chief Executive Officer.
Compensation Package
- 250k OTE: 150k base, 100k bonus
Requirements
Responsibilities
- Grow and manage revenue for the company by overseeing sales and customer success teams, leveraging revenue levers of closing net new accounts (sales) and also reducing churn (customer success)
- Lead and grow the sales team by implementing best practices such as sales scripts, call reviews, objection handling documentation, etc. to ensure we hit our sales targets
- Leverage our sales and marketing data to increase conversion rates of sales calls
- Develop, lead, and execute net new client churn strategies to meet OKRs
- Grow our up-selling strategies across our client base
- Set up and analyze Hubspot trends to gain insights across the client journey and implement into sales and customer success team
- Work closely with the Leadership team to set quarterly goals and steer the strategic direction of the company
Qualifications
- 8+ years experience spanning sales and customer success teams, with management experience required
- A client-centric mentality; the ability to put yourself in their shoes and the motivation to ensure that they feel supported at all times
- A track record of meeting sales quotas
- Experience building out, tracking, and using Hubspot to create actionable changes for sales teams
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Self-starter with a high degree of autonomy and the ability to work (and flourish) in a fast-paced environment
- Solution-oriented mindset and the ability to think creatively when solving problems
- Previous experience working in a startup or high-growth environment
