Steven Silverman MD is a leading medical facility specializing in vascular care and diagnosis. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a vital role in helping us diagnose and treat patients with vascular conditions. Your expertise in performing ultrasound procedures and interpreting the results will aid in accurately diagnosing conditions and planning appropriate treatment options.
Responsibilities
- Perform various ultrasound procedures to effectively evaluate blood flow and identify abnormalities in the vascular system.
- Operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Evaluate and analyze ultrasound images, documenting findings and providing detailed reports to the physician.
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure proper patient care, including discussing findings, planning follow-up procedures, and providing recommendations.
- Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Keep abreast of new techniques and technologies in the field, participating in continuing education and training opportunities.
Requirements
- Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or eligibility for certification.
- Proven experience as a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist.
- In-depth knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and understanding image quality control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately interpret ultrasound images.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients and medical professionals.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Empathy and compassion for patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing their concerns.
- Familiarity with relevant medical terminology and documentation practices.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
