Full Job Description

Amivision is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Tour Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of our advanced AI lighting systems during tours and events. You will work closely with artists, production teams, and event organizers to ensure seamless execution of lighting designs, delivering unforgettable experiences.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Setup and Operation: Set up, operate, and troubleshoot Amivision's AI lighting systems during live events, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to design specifications.
  • Technical Support: Provide on-site technical support and expertise to address any equipment issues or challenges that may arise during events.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with lighting designers, production teams, and artists to achieve creative lighting effects and enhance event aesthetics.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and inspections of lighting equipment to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Logistics Management: Coordinate the transportation, setup, and teardown of lighting equipment for tours and events, ensuring all logistical aspects are handled efficiently.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards during equipment setup and operation.
  • Problem Solving: Quickly identify and resolve technical issues in high-pressure, live-event environments to ensure seamless performance.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and technical issues for continuous improvement and future reference.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in live event production, with a focus on lighting engineering and technology.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of lighting control systems and DMX protocols.
  • Experience with AI-driven lighting systems or similar advanced technology is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required by the tour schedule.
  • Ability to lift and transport heavy equipment as needed.
  • Must hold valid US work authorization or US passport. Visas for travel will be arranged by Amivision.

Education:

  • Degree or certification in Technical Theatre, Lighting Design, or a related field is preferred.
