Swim Instructor

Sand Sharks Swim School is hiring for a part-time swim instructor position. Applicants must love interacting with children. Join our team as a Swim Instructor and make a splash in the lives of children and adults alike! As a Swim Instructor, you will have the rewarding opportunity to teach swim lessons to a variety of age groups, from babies to adults, with a high percentage of preschool-aged children. You will be responsible for leading small class sizes of four children or less, where you will engage with the class, demonstrate techniques, provide corrections, and create fun and engaging lesson plans. Our team is vibrant and enthusiastic, with a shared passion for promoting water safety. Candidates should be proficient swimmers with a positive attitude and a commitment to ensuring the safety of all students. We offer comprehensive onboarding and ongoing training to support your professional development. Creativity and out-of-the-box thinking are welcomed to keep learning fun for our students. Part-time set hours provide consistency in your schedule, with the flexibility to pick up shifts if desired. The physical demands of the job include getting in and out of the pool safely, light lifting of up to 20 pounds (children), and maintaining visibility of the entire pool for safety purposes. From teaching breath control to advanced strokes, our variety of levels ensures that each shift flies by.
