Full Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Renewable Energy Developer to join our dynamic team in the solar and storage industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development and acquisitions of solar and storage projects, overseeing projects from initial concept through to commissioning and operation. This position requires a deep understanding of renewable energy technologies, development process, and project management.
Requirements
- Oversee the development of solar and storage projects, including site selection, feasibility studies, and permitting.
- Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities in solar and storage projects.
- Conduct due diligence on potential portfolios of projects for acquisition, including reviewing environmental studies, regulation, and financial assessments.
- Develop and manage financial models to assess project viability and profitability.
- Prepare and present detailed project proposals, budgets, and business cases to senior management and investors.
- Support the negotiation and structuring of transaction terms and conditions.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate project risks.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes in the renewable energy sector.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in solar technology and renewable energy policies.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, Engineering, Finance,or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in renewable energy project development & M & A, with a focus on DG or Utility scale solar and storage projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing DG or large-scale solar projects from inception to completion.
- Experience with financial modeling, project financing, and economic analysis of renewable energy projects.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.

There are a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current annual salary range is $100,000-$130,000.
