Full Job Description
ContinuumCloud is looking to hire a Senior System Administrator to join our IT team. This solution-oriented team member will be responsible for managing both Linux servers in OCI and AWS cloud solution. As a System Administrator at ContinuumCloud, you will be responsible for supporting cloud solutions like networking, load balancing, storage, WAFs, while leveraging terraform. This person is self-driven and always looking for improvements to build a reliable and maintainable environment.

How you’ll make an impact:
Cloud Experience (OCI/AWS)
- Infrastructure Provisioning: Setting up and configuring cloud environments, including virtual machines, storage, networking, IAM policies, load balancers, WAFs, logging, and security controls.
- Administer the cloud environment including performance monitoring, scaling, operations planning, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
- Maintains high level architecture diagrams and documentation for systems
- Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and support
Server Administration
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and patch Linux including Oracle Linux, Ubuntu, Windows Server
- Ability to manage and support Windows Active Directory
- Ability to install, configure and support Tomcat
- Monitor system performance and tune performance as necessary
- Lead and contribute to the development, maintenance, and usage of task automation
- Experience working in an Oracle environment
Requirements
What you bring to the role:
- 5+ years of experience administering Linux and Windows servers
- 3+ years of cloud administration experience
- Experience with IAC languages like Terraform
- Experience in SOC2 compliance
- Experience with Jira and Agile processes
- Willingness to be on-call for time-sensitive situations that arise
- Security and Compliance: Implementing and maintaining robust security controls, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and performing regular security audits
- Continuous Improvement: Staying up to date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices, evaluating and implementing new tools or methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Experience automating tasks with PowerShell/bash scripting
- Ability to document and transfer knowledge and cross-train peers
- Experience in risk management, security compliance, system certification, IT operations security, and incident response.
- High-level of organizational skills and detail-orientation essential
