Job Overview:

As a Senior Software Engineer / Team Lead at AnswerHero, you will play a pivotal role in leading our engineering team, delivering high-quality software solutions and driving AnswerHero to the forefront by integrating with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.  

A great candidate has a strong technical background and excellent business acumen that allows them to see the “big picture”. They are experienced in designing and possess the ability to develop a unified vision for software characteristics and functions, while mentoring and guiding junior engineers to achieve their full potential.

The goal is the development of software that enriches AnswerHero’s differentiation and value proposition.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure high performance and professional growth.
• Drive the technical vision for projects, making key decisions on architecture, design, and implementation.
• Developing solutions for AnswerHero service offering and addressing technological challenges using strategic thinking.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project goals.

Software Development:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications and systems.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Project Management:

• Collaborate with leadership and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define project scope and objectives.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring successful and timely completion of projects.
• Identify and mitigate risks, addressing any issues that arise during the development lifecycle.

Innovation and Improvement:

• Understanding AnswerHero's value proposition, key performance metrics, and customer base is essential. This knowledge enables the interpretation of key performance indicators and their integration with software applications, enhancing the overall value proposition of AnswerHero.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve software development processes and practices.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years in a team lead or technical leadership role.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in modern programming language(s). Experience with ASP.Net, C#, MVC, MS SQL, Javascript, HTML5, React, APIs and developing web applications
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated history of leading and mentoring engineering teams, managing projects, and driving technical initiatives.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges and devise effective solutions.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
