Full Job Description
CTI seeks a Senior Operations Manager to join our dynamic and collaborative team. Supporting the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) to assist in designing, implementing, maintaining, and administering a growing cloud and on-premises network infrastructure solution to support modern Mission Control. As a Senior Operations Manager, you will be part of an engineering and IT operations team responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network systems that meet mission requirements.
Responsibilities of the Network Engineer include but are not limited to:
- From an IT perspective, oversee the management and personnel assigned to design, implement, administer, and innovate within USSOCOM's MCS-COP program and PEO-SDA.
- Manage project objectives, test plans, system configuration, and evaluation processes.
- Manage information technology projects, resources, schedules, and performance, including identifying, managing, resolving/mitigating operational issues and risks.
- Maintain awareness of the MCS-COP environment's authorities, roles, responsibilities, and other policy issues.
- Evaluate reports, lessons learned, recommendations, and other documents to help guide the PEO's efforts.
- Work with project leads to lend programmatic subject matter expertise as required.
- Assist with creating technical and governing documentation, while collaborating with developers and project leads.
- Manage resources, identify staffing gaps, and conduct performance and training assessments.
- Develop and manage administrative routing processes to streamline approval processes.
- Support other government operation-focused requirements.
This position is required to be onsite at USSOCOM's HQ and offsite facilities in Tampa, FL.
Requirements
Necessary skills and experience:
- Ability to work with others to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues and communicate changes.
- Experience in briefing, writing, and communication.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in managing project objectives, test plans, system configuration, and evaluation processes.
- Solid understanding of business processes and operational best practices
- Candidates must hold an Associate degree in project/operations management or a related field and have at least 9 years of relevant work experience, or A Bachelor's degree in project/operations management or a related field with 7 years of experience or a Master's degree in project/operations management or a related field with 3 years of experience.
- Must have an active U.S. government Top Secret security clearance and must be SCI eligible. U.S. Citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
