Florida Design Works is the industry sales leader in flooring, designer tile, custom cabinetry, and stone countertops serving the community for over 55 years. Our beautiful new Sarasota showroom is looking for an experienced sales pro to join our dynamic team. As a Showroom Sales Associate, you will be the face of Florida Design Works for all customers and design professionals visiting our showroom, taking them through the design and selection process for their next remodeling or building project to source the perfect floor, backsplash, accent wall, pool tile and more.

- Starting salary of $50,000 + monthly commissions

Showroom Sales Associate Key Responsibilities
- Greeting our customers as they enter the showroom, assessing their needs, and providing a go-to strategy for their visit.
- Being an extension of our trade partners who refer their customer – including general contractors, tile installers, new home builders, remodelers, and interior designers. They refer the customer/homeowner to YOU, and you help them select the materials for their project.
- Completing a selection sheet for the project, requesting/providing samples of products, and following up with customers on selections to provide a quote and move to a sales order.
- Providing quotes for the various materials selected by a customer using our SAP program and collaborating with the trades partners to assess the proper amounts for the project.
- Requesting price information from purchasing for new or non-entered materials/parts in SAP.
- Entering sales orders into SAP and working with the customer and their trades partner on timing for delivery and project completion.
- Tracking sales orders to ensure completion in a timely fashion and following up with Purchasing to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Following up with trades partners upon project completion to ensure job satisfaction and ask for additional project opportunities. Build relationships with various trades partners to ensure repeat customer referrals. Send thank you notes and cards upon job completion.
- Answering the showroom phone, personal email, and Microsoft Teams chat and providing prompt answers and attention to all requests.
- Collaborating with sales leadership on sales floor merchandising, setting up new samples, removing discontinued products and moving sales displays.
- Continuing education on products and manufacturers and following home decorating design trends.

Requirements
Employment Requirements:
- At least 3 years of sales experience in an inside sales or high-end retail setting --Tile sales experience preferred
- Strong computer skills including 20/20 cad knowledge, email, Microsoft Office, SAP, customer account databases, and iPad
- Strong English communication skills
- A passion for design, home trends, and a general knowledge of the installation process for tile
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, self-driven environment and being held to performance standards
- Ability to learn new skills and information quickly including product knowledge, computer systems, and job-related technology
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Legally authorized to work for any US employer
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long durations, use hands and reach with hands and arms, move about the showroom.
- Walk, stand, bend or sit
- Lift and/or move up to 5-20lbs
- Routine moving, set-up, and take-down of samples and displays
