Security Officer

** Part-time position, $18 per hour **

We are looking for a vigilant Loss Prevention Officer that will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests, visitors and team members by patrolling and monitoring premises and staff. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of risk management. They will be skilled in identifying and resolving issues before they escalate, always ensuring the safety and security of our guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hotel premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
• Monitor all surveillance cameras and security systems.
• Investigate and report any irregularities or suspicious activities.
• Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities.
• Promptly report accidents and injuries to supervisor.
• Coordinate with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
• Ensure all access points are secure and locked according to hotel standards.
• Respond to alarms promptly and investigate disturbances.
• Provide assistance to guests and staff in case of emergency.
• Conduct regular security checks according to hotel standards.
• Maintain activity log during each shift.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must display a high level of responsibility and trust.
• Must have the ability to work independently and make critical decisions in a timely manner.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.
• Proven experience as a loss prevention officer or guard.
• Knowledge of report writing.
• Able to work Sunday through Saturday, early mornings and evenings as needed.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be First Aid and CPR certified.
• Possess excellent communication skills.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to push, pull, carry, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds with or without accommodation.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, and reach above shoulders and head.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk continuously throughout shift.
