Secondary Math Teacher

Astatula Baptist Church and Astatula Christian School are seeking a passionate and qualified candidate for a Secondary Math Teacher position. This is a full-time position for the upcoming academic year.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging math lessons that align with the school's curriculum
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning and growth
• Use a variety of instructional methods and resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students
• Assess and evaluate student performance, provide regular feedback, and maintain accurate student records
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and participate in parent-teacher conferences
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
• Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously enhance teaching skills and knowledge

Background screening is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field preferred
• Valid teaching certification or license in Math preferred
• Prior teaching experience in a secondary school setting is preferred
• Strong knowledge and understanding of secondary level math curriculum and instructional strategies
• Ability to effectively communicate complex math concepts and engage students in learning
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work well within a team
