Secondary History Teacher- Christian School

Astatula Baptist Church and Astatula Christian School are seeking a qualified and dedicated candidate for a Secondary History Teacher position. This is a full-time position for the upcoming academic year.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic history lessons that adhere to the school's curriculum guidelines
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and critical thinking
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and materials to accommodate diverse student learning styles
• Assess and evaluate student progress through regular assessments, projects, and assignments
• Provide timely feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance and growth
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum, instructional resources, and assessment tools
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required

Job Type: Full-time

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in History or a related field preferred
• Valid teaching certification or license in History or Social Studies preferred
• Prior experience teaching history at the secondary level is preferred
• Strong knowledge of historical content, concepts, and theories
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents
• Background screening is required
