We are dedicated to innovating in the renewable energy sector and are seeking a skilled Project Finance Analyst in Fort Lauderdale, FL to enhance our team's capability in identifying and executing lucrative energy projects.

Role Summary:

The Project Finance Analyst is a pivotal role at BlueSky Utility, focused on advancing our mission by conducting sophisticated financial analyses and evaluations of renewable energy projects. This position requires deep expertise in project finance, robust financial modeling skills, and a thorough understanding of renewable energy technologies and market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Modeling and Analysis:

  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed financial models for renewable energy projects. These models should reflect various financing structures, including tax equity partnerships, lease financing, and power purchase agreements (PPAs).
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of regulatory environments and financial incentives that can impact project viability and profitability.

Investment and Transaction Support:

  • Lead the financial assessment, due diligence, and execution phases of energy project transactions. Ensure all potential investments align with our strategic and financial objectives.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Enhance internal processes and tools to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of our project finance operations. This includes optimizing methodologies for financial evaluation and risk assessment to support decision-making across the company.

 

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with significant expertise in solar energy project finance. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly desirable. 
  • Expert proficiency in financial modeling and analysis related to renewable energy projects, with a focus on solar power. 
  • Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of securing project financing. 
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities, capable of motivating a team and articulating complex financial concepts to a broad audience. 
  • Solid understanding of the renewable energy market, including regulatory environments, tax incentives, and technology trends. 
  • Proximity to the Fort Lauderdale area and able to commute to the office for at least three days per week.

Fair and equitable compensation. There are a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current annual salary range is $100,000-$150,000.
