Part Time PreK - 5th Grade Spanish Teacher

Cornerstone Learning Community (CLC) is seeking a part-time PreK-5th Grade Spanish Teacher (7 half-hour classes, twice weekly) to join its faculty for the fall of the 2024/25 school year and beyond. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate and dedicated educator to teach Spanish in a dynamic and professional learning community.

As the PreK-8th Grade Spanish Teacher, you will be responsible for providing instruction in Spanish to students in various grade levels. You will design and implement engaging and interactive lessons that promote language acquisition and cultural understanding.

Responsibilities:

• Teach Spanish language and culture to students in PreK-5th grade.
• Create and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that align with the school's curriculum and standards.
• Establish a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that fosters a love for language learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Spanish instruction across the curriculum.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (preferred).
• Fluency in Spanish (native or near-native proficiency).
• Experience teaching Spanish to diverse student populations (both background, age, and learning profile).
• Knowledge of effective language teaching methodologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Passion for teaching language.
