Full Job Description
The Operations Floor Plan Designer will provide technical drafting expertise for the creation of convention carpet plans, layout plans, and various target plans both locally and nationally.
Essential Job Duties
- Collaborate with Account Executives, Sales, and Operations on operational floor plan requests by utilizing the company's online portal
- Create accurate carpet plans for planning and production with Sales, Account Executives, and Operations teams
- Collaborate with the Team Leads to create layout floor plans for onsite floor marking purposes
- Create target plans and empty target plans for show use based on the information supplied by the Freight Supervisor or the Account Executive
- Maintain and update operations standards and facility requirements
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to work well with groups
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment both autonomously on tasks and collaboratively with multiple departments
- Required experience with the following programs:
- Autocad
- Adobe Acrobat
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel Outlook, Teams) and WebEx
- Windows-based design environment
- Experience with Expocad preferred
- Completion of a formal drafting program preferred
- Convention and trade show experience preferred
