This role is pivotal in maintaining plant electrical/mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with regulations, and taking our operations to new heights.

Primary Objectives:
- Maintain plant systems in compliance with regulations.
- Provide outstanding customer service through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading.
- Serve as a technical resource to the plant and engineering groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Grade 1 & 2 Technician Overview:
- Versatile Skill Set:
- Run all types of piping, including black iron, stainless steel, copper, PVC, and flexible tubing.
- Install various components such as seals, bearings, O-rings, gaskets, adhesives, belts, chains, and sprockets.
- Troubleshoot and repair/rebuild vacuum pumps.
- Fabricate parts directly from blueprints and weld stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum.
- Electrical Proficiency:
- Wire and repair electric motors.
- Repair basic wiring and replace lighting fixtures and lamps.
- Correctly size fusing, motor overload protection, and wire size per National Electric Code (NEC).
- Read electrical schematics and wire directly from wiring diagrams.
- Maintenance Skills:
- Proficient in performing repairs to production equipment and plant utility systems.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical/mechanical components and devices.
- Troubleshoot and repair variable frequency drives.
Additional Requirements for Grade 3 Technician:
Grade 3 Technician:
- Expert Troubleshooter:
- Proficient in AC drive systems and PLC troubleshooting.
- Capable of changing or lighting PLC logic via a laptop/desktop station using the appropriate communication language.
- Leadership Skills:
- Work well with little supervision.
- Lead and direct other maintenance personnel on jobs.
- Provide on-the-job training for employees new to the department.
- Documentation and Communication:
- Record and communicate shift activities in an organized manner.
- Conduct equipment audits and develop replacement part lists.
- Flexibility and Commitment:
- Tasks may require individuals to work any shift, any department, weekends, and overtime to support production and general plant needs.
- Some training may require travel and overtime.
Work Shifts:
- Friday to Sunday: 6:00 am - 6:30 pm
- Monday through Thursday 5:00 pm - 3:30 am
Requirements
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Willingness to relocate or commute daily to work site.
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending, twisting and walking.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 3- 5 years of experience as a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician required.
- Proficient in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with high and low voltage systems.
- Ability to fabricate or modify components as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous Manufacturing Industry preferred.
- Previous Electrical Background preferred.
