Mortgage Loan Officer Up to 225bps

Goorman Capital powered by Barrett Financial is a leading Mortgage Broker and Mini Correspondent Lender. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Mortgage Loan Officer to join our team. As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you will be responsible for assisting clients in securing mortgage loans and providing superior customer service throughout the lending process. You will play a vital role in helping individuals achieve their dream of homeownership.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, authorize, or recommend approval of mortgage loan applications for clients.
• Interview clients to gather financial information and determine their eligibility for a mortgage loan.
• Advise clients on loan terms and repayment options based on their financial situation and goals.
• Guide clients through the loan application process, including assisting with the completion of required paperwork.
• Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and other team members to ensure a smooth and timely loan closing process.
• Build and maintain relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other industry professionals to generate referral business.
• Stay updated on industry trends, loan programs, and lending guidelines to provide clients with accurate and current information.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage loan programs, guidelines, and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and providing exceptional customer service.
• Proficient in using mortgage loan origination software and other relevant computer programs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
