Molecular Laboratory Supervisor

CDR Labs is seeking individuals who are interested in working as a Supervisor for our Molecular Lab team. This position will be responsible for managing the laboratory and staff within the Molecular division; as well as complex laboratory procedures and have broad decision-making authority and independence. This classification requires extensive knowledge of science and laboratory procedures, specialized molecular diagnostic laboratory tests, and medical terminology to perform molecular diagnostic tests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Supervises, directs, plans, develops, implements, evaluates and oversees the execution of daily operations of the molecular diagnostic laboratory.
• Scheduling, training, performance reviews.
• Creating and revising SOP's.
• Ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies.
• Assisting on the bench when required.
• Assist in the administration of all Quality Control Programs.
• Assist in the inventory management and ordering.

OTHER PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

• Other duties that may arise from time-to-time and/or are commensurate with the title and position.

Requirements

• Familiarity with CLIA/CAP regulatory requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science.
• 4+ years of clinical molecular experience, with at least one year in molecular pathology methods
• Must be licensed or meet the requirements for licensure as a Molecular Technologist in the State of Florida
• 1+ years of previous supervisory experience preferred

Shift Availability

• Full time; Monday through Friday.
