Simeon Global Consulting is seeking a Mission Manager to lead and coordinate disaster response and recovery missions, ensuring efficient and effective operations in alignment with organizational and project-specific objectives. This role requires strong leadership, project management, and decision-making skills to oversee mission planning, execution, and evaluation. The Mission Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, government agencies, and community stakeholders to ensure successful mission outcomes, focusing on disaster recovery, relief operations, and resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mission Planning & Execution: Develop and implement mission strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Coordinate resources and manage personnel to ensure mission success.
- Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in mission execution, providing clear direction and ensuring collaboration across departments.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work with government agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders to facilitate mission objectives and ensure effective communication.
- Project Management: Oversee mission timelines, deliverables, and budgets, ensuring all project objectives are met on time and within scope.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact mission success. Develop contingency plans and respond to emerging challenges.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in disaster response, emergency management, or mission coordination.
- Strong project management skills, including experience with budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management.
- Ability to lead diverse teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with government agencies and community organizations during disaster response and recovery.
- Knowledge of FEMA regulations and disaster recovery programs.
- Previous experience managing large-scale emergency or disaster missions.
Additional Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must reside in the state of Florida.
- Must pass a background check upon offer of employment.
- Must be willing and able to travel to various work sites as needed.
- Must be willing and able to work long hours and adapt to changing environments.
