Marine Technician

- Perform maintenance and repairs on boats
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs
- Install and repair marine engines, propulsion systems, and accessories
- Conduct engine tune-ups and oil changes
- Repair or replace damaged components such as propellers, steering systems, electrical wiring, trolling motors, and electronics
- Test and adjust boat systems to ensure proper functioning
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used in LightSpeedEVO

Requirements

• Previous experience in boating industry is preferred
• Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and address their concerns
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate repairs
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required
• Knowledge of sales techniques to promote additional services or products to customers
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in marine repair work
• Mechanical aptitude to diagnose and repair mechanical issues in boats
• Experience with forklift operation, transportation and operation of boats
• Candidates must have a valid drivers license as mobile work is involved
• Understanding of electrical systems in boats and ability to diagnose problems
