Full Job Description
The Manager, Agile Practices will be a member of the PMO Team, reporting to the Director of Project Management. The Manager of Agile Practices will lead the Agile methodology inside the Scrum Team. This role is a critical role within the organization and is primarily responsible for successfully executing all Scrum Master activities.
Requirements
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assists Scrum Masters with Agile Best Practices being the Agile Coach for the team.
· Executes repeatable processes and structure to be used across all Scrum Teams.
· Leads issue oriented Agile Ceremonies, mediates, and resolves conflict and ensures accountability of team members.
· Tracks and holds team accountable for SLAs/KPI’s
· Interfaces with IT organization to ensure alignment throughout the organization.
· Identifies project deliverable risks through monitoring development team sprint progress against project delivery dates and escalates to Project Manager when appropriate.
· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Directly supervises all employees within the Scrum Master department.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
· Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Understands waterfall and agile methodologies.
· Advanced knowledge within Jira & Smartsheet
· Proficiency with MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project
