Position Summary
As a Land Acquisition Agent, you will play a key role in the acquisition and management of real estate assets for our solar projects. You will be responsible for researching potential land sites, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. This is a dynamic role that requires strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential land sites for solar energy projects
- Conduct market research and analysis to assess the feasibility and value of potential sites
- Hold in person meetings with landowners in assigned market (50% travel expectation)
- Negotiate and secure land acquisition agreements with landowners
- Coordinate with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance with all legal and financial requirements
- Manage relationships with landowners and address any concerns or issues
- Monitor and track project timelines and milestones
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project development and execution
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals and presentations
- Establish and maintain close relationships with land brokers/agents, surveyors, and national title companies
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in Land Acquisition, for solar energy facilities.
- Strong knowledge of real estate and land use regulations
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to analyze and assess potential real estate opportunities
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, or related field
- Professional certifications in real estate or property management
- Prior experience in the renewable energy industry
Location: We are only considering candidates located in the Southeast & Midwest regions of the United States.
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience, qualifications and location.
