Position Summary:
Entry level position to assist the GIS Team in the pursuit of new solar sites and the review of current deals. Expected to work within a team of other GIS professionals as well and people outside of GIS to create visual representation and collect, interpret, and manage GIS data.

Job Responsibilities
- Work with a range of GIS technologies to develop and analyze geographic data, such georeferencing
- Create and edit shapefiles and geodatabases
- Create and design user-friendly GIS platforms
- Work with and create aerial mapping datasets
- Analyze spatial relationships
- Collect relevant parcel data and enter into an excel file or software database
- Organize and analyze parcel data
- Update Customer Relationship System to reflect the counterparty’s (Landowners) land and contact information
- Support efforts to manage the landowner relationship post-signing of leasing or purchase agreement (e.g. sending documents to landowner for review, reaching out to landowners to obtain documents to ensure payments, etc.)
- Research the Planning and Zoning laws that have jurisdiction where the land is located
- Ensure that public hearings or any other critical dates in the permitting process are communicated internally
- Support the organization and management of project related documents in the company's database
- At times, support Project Developers in updating our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills: Must be currently pursing a degree or have a strong interest in GIS.
