Full Job Description
The Finance Manager has responsibility for leading projects including reporting, managing operational forecasts, program and project profitability models, revenue projections and ad hoc projects. This individual will supervise those reporting to him/her while managing requests from Finance Leadership. Working collaboratively with Finance, Accounting, and Business leadership, the Finance Manager will maintain financial models, prepare projections, and perform research and analysis based on business needs.
To be successful in this role, you should have strong financial modeling experience and be able to perform a variety of financial activities including planning, profitability analysis, forecasting, and reporting. You should also have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner.
- Manage consolidated three statement operating model on a monthly basis.
- Build cross-functional relationships with Commercial team in understanding sales pipeline, historical trends and current client growth to maintain revenue forecasts.
- Facilitate preparation of monthly operating reports including key financial metrics and KPIs, divisional budget and forecast-to-actual analyses..
- Assist Finance Director & CFO in preparing annual operating budgets. Collaborate with divisional leaders to develop operating plans to meet strategic objectives.
- Oversee the preparation of program and project profitability models and monthly executive reporting summary.
- Partners with operational leadership to measure implementation and ongoing project costs which can be used to refine project profitability analysis.
- Ability to synthesize and simplify financial information into a concise story and communicate it effectively, demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills
- Lead a dedicated team with a focus on developing potential, providing career guidance and professional/personal development.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to financial systems, processes, and controls to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist in the development and ongoing review of CAPEX and project budgets.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to identify and implement best practices that will help provide value-add information and analysis
- Builds strong relationships with leadership, customers, and peers. Communicates appropriately and effectively with stakeholders, customers and supervisors, maintaining awareness of any issues, potential delays, and any situation of concern that may affect the productivity of supported programs, processes and systems
- Strategic thinker with a proactive and problem-solving mindset, capable of identifying opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the department.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related analytical field
- Minimum 4-6 years’ experience maintaining a three-statement financial model and cash flow projections.
- Prefer 3 – 5 years’ experience in corporate FP&A or similar role.
- Experience with profitability analysis, capital budgeting
- Strong computer / systems skills; proven advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and delivering results.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accounting principles (GAAP), with experience in financial reporting and compliance.
Preferred:
- Experience with NetSuite or Oracle financial systems
- Experience with valuation models
- Experience within healthcare or SaaS industry Experience in Project Costing
