Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager with a focus on large government projects. This role is instrumental in the successful execution of technically complex electrical projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a proven track record of managing government projects, and the ability to oversee approximately 10-15 projects annually with a focus on quality and precision over high volume.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Lead the planning and coordination of large-scale government electrical projects from initiation to completion.
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Utilize in-depth technical knowledge to oversee and guide the execution of electrical installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support to project teams and troubleshoot complex issues as they arise.
- Develop project budgets, closely monitor expenditures, and ensure projects are delivered within budget constraints.
- Efficiently allocate and manage resources, including personnel and materials, to optimize project outcomes.
- Stay abreast of government regulations, codes, and standards relevant to electrical projects.
- Ensure that all projects adhere to government compliance requirements and facilitate necessary inspections.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring overall client satisfaction.
- Implement and oversee rigorous quality control processes to guarantee the highest standard of workmanship in every project.
- Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing large government electrical projects.
- Strong technical background in electrical systems and installations.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
