Who We're Seeking

The Director of Leadership Services is a key bridge between the association and it’s CEO and the association’s volunteer Realtor leadership. This role serves as the executive administrator and liaison for all Leadership Team outreach and activity, and it is ultimately responsible for all Florida Realtors Leadership Team calendar accuracy, including travel. This position manages the Florida Realtors leadership activities on a state, regional, and national level, including NAR campaigns and NAR director development.

The Director of Leadership Services reports to the Chief Executive Officer and maintains constructive and productive relationships with Florida Realtors leaders, members, all Florida Realtors Senior Managers, and other Florida Realtors Management Team members and staff of local Boards/Associations and the National Association of REALTORS®.

What You'll Do

The Director of Leadership Services is the primary liaison between the leadership team and management team under the supervision of the CEO, while assuring the effective management of staff who support the department, including career growth, performance appraisals, accurate time keeping reports, hiring and departures. Also, serves as liaison to a variety of member committees, forums, and workgroups and oversees their administrative needs.

  • Oversees day to day department needs for the first line officers of Florida Realtors including their calendar, technology needs, travel and other annual responsibilities that may arise.
  • Oversees all administration for leadership groups, including meeting management and attendance, record keeping and other appropriate follow up.
  • Oversees and executes all items as related to the operation of the Executive Committee, the Board of Directors, the Past Presidents, the District Vice Presidents, the Florida NAR Directors, the NAR Strategic Committee, Region 5 Vice President (when from Florida), ISC chapter presidents, and oversees state and national outreach for the Commitment to Excellence
  • Collaborate and partner with other departments to roll out and implement Presidential annual strategic initiatives as directed by the CEO.
  • Responsible for the drafting and circulation of all meeting notices, bylaw changes, agendas, minutes compilation, and is the liaison to the association’s parliamentarian.
  • Oversees, manages and creates campaign strategies for candidates for NAR officer (customarily First VP), is the liaison to NAR for all campaign related items Oversees the efficient management of the electronic calendar for Florida Realtors officers and Florida Realtors NAR Candidates.
  • Oversees, manages, and creates campaign strategies for candidates for NAR officer (customarily First VP), is the liaison to NAR for all campaign related items.
  • Manages all activities regarding the NAR Regional Vice President selection process, including surveys, interviews, and the election.
  • Oversees a calendar of all regional and national deadlines for elected/appointed offices, events, committee meetings, notices, invitations to dignitaries and assures timely notification.
  • Oversees the annual Florida Realtors Committee Appointment program; including the maintenance of accurate records and notification.
  • Collaborates closely with members and related Management Team to produce national events that promote Florida’s agenda and result in tangible member benefits.
  • Plans in collaboration with related Management Team, all NAR events hosted by Florida, including 2 annual receptions at NAR events, biannual Region 5 lunches (same calendar as NAR receptions) and biannual Region 5 Retreat.
  • Manages the campaigns of NAR office candidates from Florida, overseeing support including upkeep of national contact lists, websites, marketing materials and social media.
  • Conducts research and manages requests for NAR grant monies and programs to benefit Florida Realtors.
  • Manages the NAR Committee Appointment process for the NAR Strategy Committee, including a pro-active future-placement program for Florida volunteers, maintenance of the committee database and timely notification of committee appointments.
  • Maintains direct and positive liaison with affected leadership group, including NAR staff, providing direct facilitation of their Association business in ways that establish mutual respect and trust.
  • Responsible to/for assigned departmental budgets.

Requirements

Qualified applicants will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, political science, or other related field(s).
  • Have at least five years executive administration experience, preferably in a trade association or member-oriented professional society/organization.
  • Have at least three years of campaign experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs, or similar software, with the ability to learn new software including digital phone systems, ability to work remotely from a mobile device, Google Calendar, Zoom and/or other conferencing software, and project management software.
  • Strong organizational skills, extreme attention to detail, and ability to accurately multitask
  • Ability to prioritize work responsibilities
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to organize and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to professionally represent Florida Realtors and interact with a variety of people
  • Demonstrate a high degree of diplomacy, and the ability to protect the integrity of confidential and sensitive information.
  • Proven ability to effectively supervise and coach direct reports.
  • The ability to travel when necessary for work to fulfill the duties of the position.
