Full Job Description
As a Deed Research and Retrieval Specialist, you will be an integral part of our estate planning services team. You will have the important responsibility of conducting thorough research to identify, retrieve, and analyze property deeds and related documents. Your work will directly contribute to the precision and effectiveness of our estate planning processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and overseeing all aspects of deeds for estate planning purposes, including reviewing legal documents related to property ownership and transfers.
- Working closely with clients, attorneys, and other professionals to ensure the completion of all necessary deeds and title transfers in a timely and accurate manner.
- Researching and staying up-to-date on all relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices pertaining to deeds and titles.
- Providing guidance and support to clients and their families regarding property ownership and transfer, including trust administration and probate.
- Collaborating with other team members, such as attorneys and paralegals, to ensure the timely and accurate completion of all estate planning administration tasks.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting property deed research and retrieval, preferably within estate planning or real estate sector.
- In-depth understanding of property law, legal terminology, and land records.
- Keen awareness of current regulations and guidelines pertaining to deeds in various states.
- Proficiency in utilizing online databases, public records, and other research tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field is advantageous.
- Prior experience in the retirement solutions industry or legal field is desired but not mandatory.
