Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant- Per Diem

Parx Home Care is looking for a talented Occupational Therapist Assistant (Per Diem) to join our amazing team!

The Occupational Therapist Assistant will collaborate with our occupational therapist and other health specialists to create coordinated, holistic treatment plans. Your main goal will be to support our clients during rehabilitation, by assigning activities tailored to their specific needs and monitoring their improvement.

What you will be doing:

• Track the progress of rehabilitation plans, such as activities to regain motor skills
• Conduct research and provide recommendations on tasks and activities based on clients' physical and mental condition
• Teach clients and primary caregivers how to utilize specialized equipment, such as wheelchairs
• Explore new rehabilitation treatments and techniques through research
• Involve family members and caregivers in clients' care plans
• Ensure the proper functioning of all specialized equipment
• Maintain and replenish the office's supply inventory

What we're looking for in you:

• Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Previous experience as an occupational therapist assistant or in a similar role
• Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and governmental health standards
• Hands-on experience working with rehabilitation programs
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent communication skills
• A caring and resilient personality
• State license to work as an Occupational Therapist Assistant
