Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long Term Care

CDR Health Care, Inc., is seeking CNAs who are interested in working as In-Home Caregivers within the South Miami area. No relocation offered. This position will be to support long-term care patients. We are looking to hire CNA's with full-time and part-time availability. This role involves assisting with personal care, medication management, companionship, meal preparation, household support, transportation, and monitoring health and wellness.

Responsibilities potentially include but not limited to:

• Recording a patient's medical information accurately
• Back-up relief for all staff positions as needed
• Adhere to all company policies and rules
• Perform specific tasks as requested by the incident commander or supervisor
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Communicate with patient's family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and instructions
• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.
• Patient assessment and monitoring vital signs
• Assist patients with mobility, which may require lifting without assistive devices
• Other duties which may arise that commensurate with the title and position

Requirements

• Current CNA license required in good standing

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CNA
• Must be available to work weekends
• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and best practices
• Excellent knowledge of medical terminology
• Above average physical condition and stamina
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and able to handle stress
• Excellent observation skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
• Must submit to and pass a drug screen and background check
