Business Analytics Manager

In the analytics manager role, you will lead a team of analysts in performing high-level business analyses and developing analytical solutions to improve the company’s operating performance. You will be expected to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements. Success in this position will be determined by the implementation of comprehensive analytical solutions to provide valuable insights critical in the data-driven decision-making process.

Analytics Manager Job Responsibilities and Duties

The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets, developing visualizations and dashboards, and providing reports that align with business goals. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in BI tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

1. Data Analysis and Reporting o Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources to uncover trends and patterns. o Generate reports and dashboards to present findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable format.

2. Business Insight Development o Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and define key performance indicators (KPIs). o Translate business requirements into technical solutions for data-driven decision making.

3. Data Visualization o Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms. o Create data visualizations that actively communicate complex information to non-technical audiences.

4. Data Quality Assurance o Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing data validation processes. o Identify and address data discrepancies and inconsistencies.

5. Process Improvement o Recommend and implement improvements in data collection and analysis processes. o Support data governance initiatives to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration o Work closely with IT, finance, operations, and other departments to identify data needs and provide insights.

7. Participate in cross-functional projects to deliver data-driven solutions. Goals, or what a person needs to accomplish in the role. These should be specific and measurable. Ensure the outcomes reflect how you evaluate success in the role. These should not be a laundry list of “responsibilities” from the job description. 4-8 outcomes are ideal.

Data Visualization: Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate daily and weekly reports and dashboards to present findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable format. Data Quality Assurance: a) implement data validation processes. b) Identify and address data discrepancies and inconsistencies.

Process Improvement: a) Recommend and implement improvements in data collection and analysis processes. b) Support data governance initiatives to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: a) Work closely with IT, finance, operations, and other departments to identify data needs and provide insights. b) Participate in cross-functional projects to deliver data-driven solutions.

Requirements

·COMPETENCIES Education:

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: 2+ years in a BI analyst, data analyst, or similar role Technical Skills:

Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).

Advanced knowledge of SQL for data querying.

Experience with data modeling and database management.

Familiarity with statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, Python) is a plus. Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in industry-specific analytics (e.g., healthcare, finance, education).

Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Certification in data analytics or BI tools (e.g., Tableau Certified Associate, Microsoft Data Analyst Associate. Mission, Core Values and Fit
