Florida Realtors is looking for a skilled AWS Administrator to become a part of our team. The AWS Administrator will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the AWS infrastructure, ensuring that it operates smoothly and performs optimally. This position involves close collaboration with the IT Operations and Applications Development teams, providing technical assistance and expertise, resolving problems, and implementing improvements to our cloud computing environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage existing AWS accounts, set up new accounts, and configure account-level security and access control settings.
  • Design, configure, deploy, and maintain AWS services, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS databases, Lambda, and VPCs.
  • Ensure the security of AWS resources by implementing appropriate security measures, managing IAM policies, monitoring for security threats, and responding to security incidents.
  • Collaborate with the Network Operations team to setup and manage AWS networking components, such as VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, and VPN connections.
  • Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Configure monitoring tools and services to track performance and health of applicable resources, as well as logging for system and application analysis.
  • Utilize AWS automation tools and services, such as CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS CLI, to automate resource deployment and management tasks.
  • Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies to protect critical data and services from potential data loss and\or minimize risk of unplanned outages.
  • Monitor and optimize resource usage to promote efficient utilization and control costs.
  • Provide secondary administration and support assistance for other Florida Realtors environments as needed.
  • Stay up to date with the latest AWS technologies and trends and make recommendations for process improvements and optimizations.

Requirements

Qualified applicants will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Proven experience as an AWS Administrator or similar cloud administration role
  • Strong understanding of core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPCs, IAM, Lambda, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud automation tools, such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Understanding of security best practices for cloud-based environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom Workplace and/or similar platforms, and project management software
  • Strong organizational skills, extreme attention to detail, and ability to accurately multitask
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (Git, Docker, etc.)
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch)

Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • Experience with utilizing Clumio for backup and recovery of AWS assets (EC2 instances, EBS volumes, S3 buckets, and RDS resources)
  • Previous experience with Windows Server OS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS
