Position Overview

Kayne Anderson Real Estate is looking to hire an attorney who is energetic, motivated, eager to learn, a hard worker and who exhibits strong leadership and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in real estate transactions and 4 to 8 years of experience with general commercial real estate law, joint venture agreements, and/or development and construction contracts. The attorney will have opportunity to work with and learn from experienced, top tier real estate lawyers on sophisticated and interesting development, acquisition, and disposition transactions. 

Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Purchase and sale agreements for single asset and portfolio acquisitions and dispositions
  • Joint venture operating agreements
  • Development agreements, general contractor agreements, and associated development and construction agreements
  • Loan documents (both loan originations and borrowings)
  • Ground leases and other leasing transactions
  • Real estate legal due diligence, including experience reviewing and solving title, survey, environmental and zoning issues

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to a state bar and in good standing
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in real estate law
  • Strong understanding of real estate transactions
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with a variety of complex commercial real estate transactions, including joint ventures, developments, acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions
  • Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems
  • Excellent negotiation and written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Location: Boca Raton, Florida
