The Role 

We’re looking for an Area Manager to support our LATAM region. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing, building and nurturing strong strategic Retailer partnerships to deliver industry leading financial results. They will identify new commercial opportunities and negotiate best in class reciprocal support to maintain a strong brand position within the market and bring the Tilbury magic to life in stores and online. 

You’ll have a limitless commercial mindset with proven experience working in senior sales roles as well as experience in leading, developing and inspiring a team. You will be highly numerate, target-driven, commercially savvy, keen to find creative solutions to challenges and passionate about working in the beauty industry.

 

Role Accountabilities:

Best-in Class Trading Relationships

  •  Establish and maintain amazing and collaborative relationships at all levels within the designated Travel Retail remit, including Buying/Trading, Merchandising, Marketing and airport authorities to ensure that the Charlotte Tilbury brand is positioned to deliver more than its due share of voice, visibility and exposure.
  •  Conduct successful commercial negotiations on terms, pricing, distribution, online and offline real estate and support packages with Buying and Merchandising teams.

Driving Area Performance & Effective Commercial & Budget Management

  • Development of strategy for defined Travel Retail market in collaboration with the Head of Sales.
  • Fully accountable for all net and retail sales & retail costs forecasting for your retailers, meeting all financial deadlines and budget submissions, flagging risks and opportunities in a timely and quantified manner.
  • Manage each account P&L, balancing investment with top-line opportunity; monitor retailer profit contribution and achieve agreed profit.
  • Ensure a top-line and detailed understanding of retail context and category performance to identify retail opportunities and strategic needs, taking regular visits to the shop floor to maximise and develop insight.
  • Deliver limitless plans to drive and maintain #1 ranking in all categories and all stores.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting for NPD and core lines, and proactive inventory and assortment management, with close collaboration with Supply Chain and Demand Planning and support from the Sales Executive.
  • Retain agility to react to retail trends and maximise opportunities across all partners.
  • Monitor, manage, and optimize performance, tailoring approach to the channel and retailer in question, for the best results.

  High Performance Teams & In-store Excellence

  • Be a visionary. Help everyone see and be excited by what's possible. Support the development and performance of your team in the office and in store, including building functional expertise and facilitating strong relationships with the trade.
  • Manage time effectively between the Magic office and regular store visits to ensure you are recognised by both our teams and retailers in stores as an integral part of the region.
  • Support your team with key decision making and strategy but giving autonomy and accountability.
  • Work with the Retail People Partner of the region to support you and your Retail Manager(s) in the delivery of your field based people plan, which will be drafted in collaboration with the Field Training Manager. People plan to cover (but not limited to): skills gap analysis, development pathways and succession planning, capability upskill and recruitment (focusing on the store management population) across the region.
  • Ensure the highest standards of service are delivered in each and every one of our stores alongside executional excellence, empowering your Retail Managers to set and drive expectations. 

Cross-Functional Working

  • Work closely with the Regional Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Local Market PR, and Digital to create and deliver an annual plan for each retailer covering: activation of key product launches and marketing moments, eventing, retailer animation, considering both customer acquisition and retention. Review implementation and performance vs expectations on a regular and appropriately frequent basis.
  • Senior stakeholder management; ensure wider teams and key stakeholders are consistently informed of Travel Retail decisions and activities, backed up by commercial rationale.
  • Be the voice of the Retail teams, utilizing insight from the field and translating learnings into commercial growth, ensuring militant alignment across all CT teams and with our retail partners to ensure a united front at all times.  
  • For new trading partners, onboard and build out bespoke launch plans appropriate to the market and retailer to reach and sustain #1 cosmetics ranking.

Requirements

  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel within the region and to Magic Office regularly.
  • Experience: Extensive and proven experience as a Sales Manager, ideally within beauty/luxury/fashion industries, though open to other sectors.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the Travel Retail industry preferred, with previous experience working with leading Global Operators highly desirable.
  • Skills: Highly numerate, target-driven, commercially savvy, and passionate about the beauty industry. Proven ability to find creative solutions, be results-oriented, and proactively solution-driven. Structured and organized, comfortable in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Strategic Thinking: Capable of providing a macro-level view, forming strategies, and quantifying business impact.
  • Learning Orientation: Demonstrated appetite for learning and development, recognizing the pace of change and serving as a role model across teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail and rigor.
  • Communication: Strong relationship-building and communication skills, including negotiation experience.
  • Software Proficiency: Excellent skills in Excel and PowerPoint.

Benefits

Base Salary Range: $100,000-120,000**
