Application Security Assurance Associate Director

Compensation: $141,000 – $160,000 + Bonus
Experience: 8+ years in IT Risk, Application Security, or Information Security
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
Certifications: CISSP, OSCP, or GWAPT required
About the Role:
This leadership position focuses on driving secure application development practices, conducting penetration testing, and improving overall application risk posture. Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure alignment with secure development lifecycles and safeguard sensitive systems and data.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct application security assessments, risk analysis, and penetration testing for web apps and APIs.
- Collaborate with developers to identify vulnerabilities and provide actionable remediation strategies.
- Manage tools and infrastructure for application security testing.
- Maintain and enhance secure coding practices, aligning with industry standards.
- Stay ahead of AppSec trends and implement best practices to strengthen the organization’s security posture.
- Act as a key advisor for regulatory and risk-related reviews focused on IT and application security.
What You Bring:
- Deep knowledge of OWASP Top 10, SANS Top 25, and vulnerability mitigation techniques.
- Hands-on experience with application security tools and technologies.
- Programming knowledge (C/C++, Java, or JavaScript) is a plus.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
