Accounting Associate

The Accounting Associate will support the efficient operation of the company by assisting with a wide range of administrative and accounting functions, to include financial analysis and support as required.

Prepares, records, verifies, analyzes and reports accounts payable/receivable transactions. Pays vendor invoices and receives and posts customer payments on a timely basis. Maintains and reconciles accounts payable/receivable ledger accounts, financial statements and reports. Prepares analyses and reconciliations of bill runs to detect fraud. Follows transaction entry verification procedures.

Responsibilities:

The Accounting Associate will apply the following six-step workflow each month and ensure records are maintained in accordance with GAAP and DCAA compliance:

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Accounting Software.
• Experience with DCAA, FAR, and GOVCON accounting principles and requirements.
• Ability to independently execute the responsibilities in this posting.
