About Crazy 88 Mixed Martial Arts:

With over 18 years of experience, Crazy 88 Mixed Martial Arts is a premier training center for martial arts, fitness, and self-defense. We offer classes for adults and children, combining a family-friendly atmosphere with professional combat sports training. With three locations throughout Maryland, we are seeking motivated individuals to join our coaching staff and help our students succeed.

Duties:

• Recognize potential athletic ability of students in order to develop competition team
• Evaluate student performance and provide suitable feedback
• Provide students with support and encouragement
• Communicate instructions and commands using clear and simple language
• Successfully demonstrate strategies and techniques by breaking them down into a sequence
• Ensure that training is performed at a high standard of health and safety
• Mentally, emotionally, and physically prepare students for competition
• Balance criticism with positivity and motivation
• Develop knowledge and understanding of fitness, injury, nutrition, and sports psychology
• Maintain records of participant performance

Requirements

Position Requirements:

• Availability to work evenings (classes run from 5 PM to 10 PM)
• Proficiency in Muay Thai rules, strategies, and techniques
• Prior competitive experience, either as a coach or athlete, is preferred
• Ability to evaluate student performance and provide suitable feedback
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Professional demeanor, serving as a role model for students and staff
• Commitment to Crazy 88's brand, values, and philosophy

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of martial arts experience
• Minimum 1 year of coaching experience 
• Background check clearance
• CPR certification
