Full Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Counselor to join our dynamic team, providing crucial support across our men's and women's recovery programs in Harbeson and Seaford, as well as in outpatient settings. This role is ideal for a flexible, self-motivated individual who is pursuing licensure and is committed to contributing to the well-being of individuals in recovery.
Location:
- Harbeson Men’s Program, Harbeson, DE
- The Sanctuary at Impact Life Farm - Seaford Women’s Program, Seaford, DE
- Outpatient Services
Hours:
- 15-18 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling services to participants in our men's and women's programs, adhering to established treatment plans and ethical standards.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to assist in the development and adjustment of treatment plans.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care and support to participants.
- Document and maintain accurate records of participants’ progress and services provided, in compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
- Actively participate in supervision with a licensed clinician and engage in ongoing professional development.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to facilitate recovery and promote healthy lifestyles among participants.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field required.
- Certification as a CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) or CAADC (Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor) strongly preferred.
- Must be actively working towards professional licensure in the field of mental health or substance abuse counseling.
- Previous experience in a counseling role within a healthcare or recovery setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to empathize and effectively manage complex emotional situations.
- Ability to self-manage schedule and responsibilities within a flexible working environment.
