Upfitter - Truck Equipment

Our client is seeking to add TWO full-time Upfitters to its team. Upfitters are responsible for completing assigned installations of truck mounted equipment and related services to complete projects in a professional, timely manner.

Top candidates will be highly motivated, self-reliant, open to constructive feedback, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Pay starts at $20.00 - $25.00 per hour. With performance incentives, top techs earn well into the low six figures!

Essential Job Functions

● Install truck mounted equipment including but not limited to: dump, utility and flatbed bodies; plows; spreaders; emergency lights; truck accessories; cranes; and lift gates.

● Weld components using professional welding equipment

● Operates plasma cutter and oxy/acetylene torch

● Drills holes with power drills and other applicable tools as needed

● Assembles hydraulic systems and hoses

● Installs PTO systems

● Follows company safety standards at all times

Competencies

● Detail oriented

● Able to read, write and speak in English

● Self-starter

● Takes instructions, open to constructive feedback

● Comfortable with a variety of construction activities and tools, including welding and basic electrical work

Requirements

● Prior professional experience and/or training in general construction activities, such as basic mechanics tools (LIST OUT), power and air tools, ability to read a tape measurer, and more

● Experience reading and understanding diagrams

● Prior welding and basic electrical experience required

● Forklift certification preferred
