Scheduling Coordinator

Silverhill Hospital, a reputable healthcare facility specializing in mental health services, is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. As a Scheduling Coordinator at Silverhill Hospital, you will play a critical role in ensuring efficient and effective scheduling of appointments for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the scheduling of patient appointments
• Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal scheduling and utilization of resources
• Communicate with patients to confirm or reschedule appointments
• Update and maintain patient scheduling system and electronic records
• Ensure accuracy of patient information and follow-up on any missing or incomplete details
• Assist in managing incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate department
• Coordinate with other administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and address any concerns or issues related to scheduling
• Generate and distribute reports on appointment scheduling and utilization metrics
• Perform other administrative tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Scheduling Coordinator or in a similar role
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in using scheduling software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Knowledge of medical terminology or experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare administration or related field is a plus
