Roles and responsibilities
You will report to the Director, Human Resources, playing a pivotal role in our growing business. Your initiative, insight, and deep understanding of the business will enable you to find top talent. You will partner with managers to understand their staffing needs and create and implement winning strategies to bring in diverse talent for complex technical roles and at all levels of the business. You will also support our growth by developing and implementing systems, processes, and procedures.
- Work with organizational leaders to create job descriptions and successfully search for high quality hires within assigned time objectives.
- Leverage multiple sourcing channels and tools, including our ATS, social media, employee networks, branding/marketing, and resume databases.
- Maintain effective candidate evaluation processes and assess hard and soft skills to fit positions and company culture.
- Handle employee orientation and onboarding processes.
- Develop strategic relationships with professors and other external sources.
- Prepare HR reports and metrics.
- Continuously interact with and support business leaders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in STEM or HR.
- Minimum 2 years of recruiting experience in the scientific and engineering fields.
- Proven success in using innovative sourcing strategies to attract high-quality scientists and engineers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ATS.
- Technology skills including AI, Excel, and data analytics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with candidates.
- Insight to identify and close high-potential candidates.
- Flexible and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
