Silverhill Hospital, a renowned healthcare facility specializing in mental health services, is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Data Entry Associate to join our team. As a Medical Data Entry Associate at Silverhill Hospital, you will play a crucial role in accurately entering and maintaining patient-related information in our electronic health records system.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and update patient information in the electronic health records (EHR) system
  • Review and verify accuracy of data, including patient demographics, medical history, and treatment details
  • Code and categorize medical diagnoses and procedures according to established coding systems
  • Ensure compliance with privacy and security regulations when handling confidential patient data
  • Assist with retrieving and organizing medical records for patient appointments and audits
  • Communicate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to resolve any data discrepancies or issues
  • Generate reports and statistics based on data entered in the EHR system
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy when performing data entry tasks
  • Adhere to deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively to meet departmental goals
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines for data entry and information management

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Medical Data Entry Associate or in a similar role
  • Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and coding systems (e.g., ICD-10, CPT)
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Knowledge of privacy and security regulations related to patient data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare administration or medical coding is a plus
