Mechanical Technician - Prototype Development

• Join a 50-person R&D company in North Haven, CT focused on the development of new technologies for applications in the Clean Energy space
• Leverage your mechanical / assembly skills to advance projects related to Solid Oxide Fuel Cell and combustion research
• Work with project engineers to produce prototypes and test-rigs to support and validate research programs
• Keep detailed data records from tests using a variety of analytical instruments.
• Handle delicate mechanical assemblies, suggesting improvements to assembly procedures

Requirements

• Associates or formal Technical Training in manufacturing or fine mechanical assemblie
• Familiarity with multiple analytical testing devices, ability to keep detailed records
• Experience in assembling delicate / fine mechanical devices – experience working on prototype stage or similar without details instructions ideal.
• Experience in aviation, fuel cell, gas turbine, or industrial environments is preferred
• Ability to think critically and engage with the broader company in discussing projects
• Comfort working in both a team environment as well as on individually assigned projects
