MANAGER, BACKGROUND CHECK OPERATIONS (BGC)

As the BGC Operations Manager at Foley Services, you will spearhead the delivery of our comprehensive background checks and drug testing of our clients. While delivering unparalleled customer service you will oversee the efficient functioning of our operations, driving process improvements and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining high-quality services, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and achieving operational excellence. This person will partner with internal teams, vendors/suppliers and oversee a team of individuals.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Oversee all aspects of Foley Services' operations, including day-to-day management and long-term planning.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain and improve an efficient and effective operations team. Improve the group’s profitability and margin through vendor management and volume-driven staffing plans.
  • Provide skills, products, processes, and professional development training, coaching, and knowledge to all operations team members.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations while mitigating risks to the company’s operations.
  • Design, implement, and manage quality assurance programs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and Internal stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and represent Foley Services at industry events and conferences.
  • Partner with sales teams to ensure continuity and integration of sales and support processes and cross-functional communication as it relates to background screening.
  • Analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) function and provide reporting along with recommendations.
  • Manage vendor and resource relationships to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Work with the finance team to ensure vendor invoices are accurate and appropriately proportioned.
  • Interviewing, hiring, coaching, and developing a team of operations staff members.
  • PBSA regulation management
  • Protect company and customer information following company policies and procedures.

WHAT WE’D LIKE YOU TO HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • The ability to comprehend, retain, and apply complex regulatory information.
  • Strong analytical skills and diligence to drive data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to oversee confidential information with discretion.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Experience in vendor and resource management.
  • Strong in employee management and supervisor development - structured one-on-ones, KPIs, and performance management (both positive and negative).
  • Working with sales and onboarding teams to ensure smooth implementation processes.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in background checks, medical review offices, or a related area is preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations regarding background checks and medical screenings.
  • Experience working with background check and medical review software.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PBSA/FCRA).
