Full Job Description

IMPACT is a sales and marketing training company dedicated to transforming how businesses market and sell to modern buyers. Rooted in the transformative framework called "They Ask, You Answer," we empower organizations to drive more sales from their marketing efforts. Our approach focuses on creating sustainable behaviors that lead to remarkable results and building in-house expertise that sets businesses up for long-term success.

Job Description:

As the CFO at IMPACT, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial, HR, IT, and administrative functions, driving financial performance, and ensuring the fiscal health of the organization. This role demands a blend of strategic insight, financial expertise, hands-on get-it-done skills, and leadership capabilities.

Salary: $175,000 plus performance incentives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Cost Management: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve margins.
  • Performance Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and financial performance.
  • Risk Management: Ensure robust financial controls and risk management practices are in place.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present financial insights and performance reports to the CEO and board of directors.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in a similar-sized company or industry.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA mandatory.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in driving profitability and financial performance.
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to think strategically and contribute to business growth initiatives.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and effectively.

Our Ultimate Candidate Profile:

  • You are a finance badass – this is simple – you either identify with this statement or you don’t. We are looking for someone who breathes finance all day every day.
  • You are even more skilled with Excel and accounting software now than you were earlier in your career and you are the go-to person every day for your team as the true expert on automating processes with financial tools.
  • You got into accounting because you loved the numbers and felt at home in the weeds while appreciating the big picture.
  • You have a degree from a good school that you worked hard to get, working part-time or even full-time to pay your way.
  • You joined an accounting firm out of college, sat for the CPA, and passed on your first attempt, working in the audit practice for mid-market companies for a few years.
  • You then realized working within a CPA firm wasn’t your calling and you wanted to join a team to focus on growing a business and your skills.
  • Over time, you grew from a staff accountant to a manager to a controller or directly to CFO, and you’ve always been the go-to expert on the fundamentals while equally comfortable working with CEOs, boards, and outside investors.
  • You are on a never-ending treasure hunt to find waste and eliminate it. You look for small and large leakages in the business model, margin structure, payment cycles, and even seemingly small things like expense reporting controls to ensure there is near-zero waste.
  • You push your CEO aggressively to make sure the company is producing profit and investing properly in quantifiable ROI projects rather than calling everything that is really waste an “investment.”
  • You are dedicated, hardworking, and motivate your team to achieve their best, but you also appreciate a culture that supports work-life balance. You push your direct reports, your peers, and your superior(s) hard. When decisions are made, if you agree or not, you execute relentlessly in the direction that has been decided upon.
  • You are not a person who leans heavily on your team for technology expertise or has let any of your accounting fundamentals get rusty.

Why Join IMPACT?

  • Innovative Environment: Be part of a company that values innovation and creativity.
  • Growth Opportunities: Contribute to a growing company with opportunities for personal and professional development.
  • Collaborative Culture: Work with a talented and passionate team dedicated to achieving excellence.

Equal Opportunity Employment:

IMPACT is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
